Sales to the EU from 1st January 2021 (charges etc)
From 1st January 2021, the UK has left the EU and the following changes now apply:
- UK VAT (UK Sales Tax) is no longer charged for sale to the EU
- Incoterms for shipping will be DDU (Delivered Duty Unpaid) / DAP (Delivered At Place)
On entry of goods to the EU country:
Order will have to go through customs clearance and following charges may apply:
- EU Country Tax
- Customs Clearance Charge
Generally there should not be DUTY since the majority of goods we sell to the EU are declared as UK origin = preferential origin to the EU = Nil DUTY
